In January 2024, my new manager and I met with a team of business leaders, engineers, and product managers to review the existing Asset Classification Tool, originally built in 2008. Armed with a detailed business requirements document, we were tasked with creating a tool that allowed users to look up any security, apply multiple filters, and view search results with a large amount of information. While there was a lot to dissect, the project initially seemed pretty straightforward. 🙌
